You CAN help MTTA get desperately-needed snow cats with a simple free phone call. But you must act now as the state budget is being considered this week!
Call 1-800-562-6000 and ask your elected officials to "please support the Department of Natural Resources Appropriations Bill to purchase and maintain snow cat grooming equipment for the Mount Tahoma Trails System".
Also thank Senator Derek Kilmer and Representative Dawn Morrell for their support and help!
This phone line is well-staffed, from 8 am to 8 pm!
These phone calls are powerful, and your call will significantly contribute to our success! The MTTA volunteers have been very busy sending out requests for support from the private sector, and a committee went down to Olympia and met with several different representatives. There is a line item in the budget: now we need your elected officials to know that you support this all-volunteer, all-donation public recreational system. Our trail volunteers have been knocking themselves out in recent years, trying to keep the trails open after big snow storms, with old, broken-down equipment, and they would really appreciate a show of support, by you, today!
Please call this number today, and forward this message to your friends, family and co-workers, and ask them to call 1-800-562-6000 today!
Sincerely,
The MTTA Board of Directors
