The DNR has awarded a contract to a bonded bridge contractor, and a bridge will be installed over Catt Creek in July of 2008. After two years of closure due to the 2006 Flooding Disaster, our South District should re-open later this summer.
Catt Creek is a smaller tributary of the Nisqually. We will access it by driving 3 miles east of Ashford, and then going about 5 miles south, crossing the Nisqually on the Skate Creek Road, and accessing the DNR 1 Road from there.

The road that used to meet the bridge was washed away in the

Disaster.
