The theme of this year's Gala report is APPRECIATION. Appreciation of Gala Attendees, Gala Donors and Gala Volunteers. Despite the closure of our South District and 3 of our 4 huts, MTTA's most loyal attendees, donors and volunteers came through in a big way to put on a successful Gala event.
This year's Gala was held at the Seattle REI store on November 3rd. Over 140 supporters attended, vying for those coveted weekend stays at Copper Creek hut, bidding on some cool silent auction items, becoming MTTA members, and generally having fun supporting MTTA. All together, nearly $4000 was raised to operate and maintain our backcountry hut and trail system.

MTTA has some of the most loyal trail users anywhere! Even though only 1 of our 4 huts was available, a large number of you attended and contributed to MTTA by paying the Gala entrance fee, buying silent auction items, becoming members and making donations. Most importantly, you generated enthusiasm for MTTA's backcountry and passed that enthusiasm on to your friends. MTTA is SO FORTUNATE to have such dedicated trail users. THANK YOU!
We truly appreciate all those who donated items to our silent auction, increasing the FUN factor and raising money to operate and sustain our trail system. But this year, our "Gala Partners" deserve special mention. When told of MTTA's critical needs, this group donated almost $4000 worth of goods and services. At the top of this elite group, REI donated almost $2000, including donation of the auditorium! We are PROUD to be associated with these businesses! And last, but not least, we have MTTA's wonderful Gala volunteers. They setup the auditorium, greeted guests at the door, ran the hut lottery, silent auction and membership desk and, in general, helped everyone have a great time. Our volunteers are the best! THANK YOU Guys!!
