A SnoCat comes back to Life

Pics from the North District early in March

Equipment problems often happen at the least opportune time.   In this case, the SnoCat stopped running just before the trails received 3 feet of snow.   Grooming Coordinator Jim May and Patroller Louis Boitano go to work on the problem.  Pictures by Kim May.

The afternoon starts with a buried SnoCat that won't even start.

Louis Boitano, always willing to lend a shovel, clears the way for Jim May to repair the Piston Bully Snow Cat.

Jim May working on the wiring to get the desperately needed Piston Bully SnoCat running. Was that wire A to wire B, or the other way around??

While Jim is working on the wiring, Louis Boitano uses finesse to load a snowmobile.

Jim May gives a thumbs up that the Piston Bully is running, and can now start grooming.

Jim May, like many other volunteer groomers, works late into the night to make the trails perfect for weekend.  Our hats are off to all of MTTA's GREAT volunteers!
